Join the Farm Adventure in Trouble at Trio iPad and iPhone Storybook App
Trouble at Trio farm is a iPad and iPhone storybook app. The storybook app is set in a town called Number town and follows the adventure of a farmer known as Freda Three as she investigates strange occurrences in the town. Number town is a small town by the sea where everyone is known by the numbers in their name. There's Freda three, policeman ernie eight, nun nine and fisherman Fergus four. Each of these characters are friends with Freda Three and help her along the way during her quest.
Freda Three's quest begins on the day she walks into her store and discovers that someone has stolen and eaten all of her produce. She decides to call policeman ernie eight and starts looking for the culprit in each farm across in number town.
Readers can choose to read the story or have it ready to them. Before starting you are shown a map of number town an where all the different characters live. The story itself is not very long and can be completed in a matter of minutes. This app will appeal to children more than anyone else. The language is very easy to understand and the story line is presented in the same way as traditional children storybooks. There aren't very settings available to readers and the only thing you can do is listen to the stories or read them. It would have been nice if the developers added some interactive features just so that there is more to the app than a simple story line. Nonetheless, the story is still enjoyable and an effective way for children to develop their language skills.
Trouble at trio farm will cost you $2.99 from the iTunes app store and is compatible with the iPhone and iPad.
