Polyglot Med Spanish - App Review

AppDictions App Review
As the United States grows more diverse each year, it is essential that our doctors are able to communicate with their patients, even if those patients speak another language.  The Polygot Med Spanish app helps doctors and other clinicians learn common medical words and phrases in Spanish to help bridge the communication process.  Developed by the Duke Area Health Education Center in North Carolina, the app is a portable version of the Polygot: Multimedia Medical Spanish Translator CD-ROM. It breaks these common words and phrases into dozens of categories such as: adjectives, adverbs, and basic grammar; as well as prenatal, emergency, and much more!  Read and practice these common phrases or write your own phrase to be translated into Spanish or English.  As you practice, the Spanish word or phrase translation can read you the correct pronunciation aloud so there is continuity in the message.  Polygot Med Spanish even allows you to save your most used words and phrases into a favorite list for easy access.  Polygot Med Spanish is a must-have for all types of clinicians and medical students alike!
