Perhaps because it offers mindless fun—no need for complicated strategy and fierce concentration – or maybe because the odds are even more exciting regardless of player experience or technique.

Whatever the rationale behind it, it seems Hiccup Studio has finally figured this winning secret. Lucky Fighter—as the name suggests—is an iDevice game that relies entirely on luck. What could be more unpredictable than the classic rock-paper-scissors?

The concept is simple—pretty much the same game every other kid is familiar with. But the player is pitted against a hundred bullies and this is a setting you cannot consistently win no matter what skill level you claim to be.

An interesting addition to the age-old rock-paper-scissors is the loser of each round will be punched by his opponent straight in the face. If ever the user doesn’t have enough incentive to win, this will definitely make you all the more determined not to lose.

A wonderful strength of Lucky Fighter is its unbelievable graphics and animation. Comic book style characters and backgrounds keep it endlessly entertaining and a treat for the senses.  Dialogue is scarce, but definitely made up by the vivid and witty characters.

There are no hitches in the game play of Lucky Fighter. Movement is smooth and quick, exactly what a game like this needs. One interesting feature of Lucky Fighter is its option to exchange cartoon-heads with heads from the player’s image library. It can be of you, a friend or an enemy you’re dying to punch.
