If there is one genre of games that never go out of style, it is arcade games. This has been around since forever—it seems—and it is still going strong until present times. Reinventing the concepts of classic games are very common occurrences, giving birth to players learning to love the vintage.

Application distributor Marc Guirao Majo gives the market another inspired game to look forward to with its new offering iSwoop. The arcade game is an exciting one that will have iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users absorbed at all times of the day.

ISwoop is an arcade game that is set in the awesome setting of outer space. It is actually inspired by an older game called Swoop. Swoop is well known for being a quality 2D game, so if you are interested in such games, it would be best to check out this brand new interpretation.

The story is kept simple throughout the game. The player is tasked to fight enemies in space to let his fellow marines escape. It is a straight-forward game, and you only have to stand as long as you can to let as many of your colleagues get away.

The endless format of the game means there is endless fun to be had with this game. You don’t have to worry about the excitement waning down, because it constantly is very challenging. There are four challenge levels, so iSwoop provides enough variety to keep different kinds of players interested. There are also seven types of enemies—all of which you will encounter at one time or another.

Fortunately, you are also equipped with an array of weapons to help you battle all these space foes. There are nine different types of weapons, with varying power and speed that will change from level to level.

Arguably the greatest strength of this powerhouse game is its graphics and audio. Regarding the former, it is a realistic yet stylized look in space. The soundtrack is perfect for the game as well.
