Monitor Your Heart Beat Rate Right on Your iPhone!

Heart Beat Rate is a heart rate monitor for iPhone users looking for a quick and easy way to monitor their heart rate during workouts. The app uses your iPhone’s camera to get real time heart rate calculations and provides tips on how to improve your health based on your resting and exercise heart rate.

The user interface’s design allows for an intuitive user experience that only requires you to place your finger over the camera to get your heart rate. After holding your finger for a few seconds, an average of your heart rate will show up followed by a quick check up of some useful tips about your heart rate.

You can use the analysis features to compare your heart rates with normal heart rates of people in your age group and view how you can improve your heart health in the process. During physical activity you’ll be able to analyze the different heart rate zones you reach for better control over your workouts and keep a history of your previous heart rates for easier comparison.

The app also allows you to tailor specific details of the app such as your gender, date of birth, and whether or not you want to enable the smart measure mode. Enabling the latter option stops a measure after 15s if a valid pulse value is found.  Overall this is an effective way for anyone with an iPhone to keep themselves safe during workouts and monitor their heart rates with greater depth.

Heart Beat Rate is compatible with iOS 4.3 or later and is free to download from the iTunes app store.
