Interestingly; space, aliens and war are three subjects that endlessly fascinate society in these modern times. Fortunately, though the real things remain elusive, virtual reality has allowed us to venture in their world for a little while through television, movies and games.

Developer Omnitel presents Endless War, an application for the iDevices that is somewhat of a traditional space shooter game. Whether you’re a newbie or already an experienced shooter games fan, this is an impressive offering and a solid game.

Do not balk at the title that seems a bit dreary. The premise of the game is even gloomier: mankind has finally abused the earth enough and ran out of resources. People insteas turned to space for opportunities to get supplies needed to survive. In their quest, they stumbled on an alien planet—the inhabitants were willing to make peace, but in their goal to get what they need, man went into war, lost and were enslaved. Endless War is mankind’s glorious attempt to fight back.

The strength of this game is in its flawless, well thought out execution. The space shooter genre is cluttered with many applications that is sloppy and mediocre, but Endless War is solid and exciting.

The simple touch interface makes it a breeze to play. Navigation is smooth and snag-free, controlling the aspects of the game is straight-forward.

Omnitel does well to provide variety. There are fifteen different stages of varying difficulties, endless weapons and upgrades, and a host of challenging enemies. There are even three types of ships to choose from.

Graphics are—as expected—impressive with wonderfully detailed illustrations and textured environments. The sound effects are top-notch, definitely one of the highest quality and most interesting soundtracks for games that are out in the App Store right now.

Although the aliens wanted to make peace agreement, Mankind selects war because they eager to get resources to survive. But it was terrible decision. The aliens made a victory based on their advanced technology so the mankind became slave. Now in the year of 2162, mankind has been adopted aliens’ highly developed technology in the past 30 years. Finally, rearmed skilled mankind rise in revolt.
