This iPad and iPhone Education App Makes Learning Essential Language Skills Fun
iLearn with Boing is an iPad and iPhone education app that teaches children essential language skills. Your child can follow Boing on his adventure as he sets out to discover new words in the deep sea.
Parents can sign up for an account with i Learn with Boing to keep track of their children’s progress. The progress tracker gives you information about what language level your child is at based on the number of lessons completed with Boing.
There are three main adventures your child can choose from. The free version only contains the vocabulary adventure but there are options for language formation and listening comprehension adventures available to premium users.
In the vocabulary adventure, you must find the object on screen based on the words that are told to you. The objects are hidden in various places in the sea so you have to tap the screen to reveal each object until you find the correct one that corresponds to the right word.
The language formation adventure lets users create sentences based on the pictures shown on screen. Children can also play against their parents or form sentences with their friends over a wireless network. Finally, in the listening comprehension adventure users must follow instructions and place the fish in right order. When this is done correctly, the fish perform a cute dance and users can move to the next level.
i Learn Boing can be downloaded free of charge from iTunes but if you want additional features such as listening comprehension and language formation, it’s going to cost you $0.99.
