Get the Weather and Latest News From One App with Weather Wow

Weather WOW is a weather app for iPhone and iPad featuring comprehensive weather forecasts, and daily news. The app gives users the ability to access accurate weather forecasts from any location around the world using and stay in touch with current affairs while on the move.

Once installed, you are given a short step-by-step tutorial containing pictures, icons, and useful tips about the different gestures you can use to make the most out of the app. Every part of the full screen retina interface is designed to provide as much information as possible and is adaptable to any screen size whether it’s that of the iPhone 5, iPod touch or iPad.

You can add up to five different locations in the weather forecast by simply typing in the name of the city or using the GPS button to find the weather in your current location. You can also change the theme of the interface, share weather with Facebook contacts, and select the units of temperature.

You’ll be able to see the current weather in the app’s main screen – which is accurate to the 10th degree, something you don’t often see on weather apps for iPhone or iPad. Tapping on the temperature circle opens up a hi-lo reading for the day while swiping left opens up a forecast screen and swiping right gives you details about humidity, precipitation, and wind speed.

The app’s background changes depending on the current weather condition, so if its night time clear skies, you’ll be shown a picture of a cloudless moon in the background. Similarly if it’s a rainy day outside, an animation of cloud cover will be shown. While subtle, this addition makes it easier to get an idea of the current temperature without having to look at the technical details first.

Weather WOW requires iOS 4.3 or later and costs $0.99 to download from the iTunes app store.
