Privacy is a big concern among many users on the internet. People are always looking for ways to minimize their online footprint, and many apps have come out in recent years to help them do just that. One of those apps goes by the name of Candid. It’s a messaging app that gives you anonymous access to different online groups. Whether you’re looking for advice or want to share your deepest secrets with someone, this is the app for you.

Upon installation, you’ll be asked to create a user profile. During this process, you can log in with your Facebook account to see relevant groups and posts from people you might know. You can also connect your contacts for a more personalized experience and chose whether or not you want to find groups near your location. Lastly, you’ll have to enter your age – under 18 or over 18.

Once all your details are setup, you can choose your interests. These range from music, technology, and fashion to art, business and relationships. When you pick all the topics you’re interested in, all you have to do swipe right to join the topic-related groups in the following screen. That’s all there is to it.

Your home feed shows all the latest posts across all your groups, as well as the top posts made by other members. To view posts according to a topic, tap on the “Me” option on the bottom panel and select the group you want to enter. From there, you’ll be able to see all the anonymous messages people have posted.

To add a post of your own, select the “post” option and then choose the group where you want to add your post. You can add photos or links to your posts and spread the word about your new post by inviting your contacts. Candid never stores any of your information on their servers, which means that your contacts will never see your real details when you publish a post.

The app is completely free to download and is compatible with devices running iOS 8.0 or later.
