Take Photos Remotely with Blux Lens iPhone and iPad App

Blux Lens is a photography app for iPhone designed to give users the ability to take photos remotely. The app allows you to connect two separate devices over a Wi-Fi network so you can use one device as the lens and the other as the viewfinder to take pictures from a significant distance.

In order to use the app you first have to download the Blux camera app which can be easily found in the iTunes app store. Following the installation of both apps, simply open up Blux Lens on the device you want to use as the lens and scan the QR code that appears with the other device acting as a view finder.

You can only connect between two devices at a time and both need to be connected to the same WiFi network. Once connected you’ll be able to take control of lens device with the Blux Camera app and record videos or take photos with it. This can come in handy in situations such as home monitoring, taking self-portraits and even wild life photography.

All the settings from Blux Camera such as photo filters, zoom, photographic information, and the groundbreaking UI design will also still be usable when using Blux Lens as your remote lens. However because the app requires autofocus enabled lenses you won’t be able to use it unless you have iPhone or iPad – sorry iPod touch users!

Lastly, if you want to use Blux Lens spy on someone while you’re away, there’s a spy mode that you can enable to record a scene while the device screen is turned off. Blux Lens is optimized for the iPhone 5 as well as other devices with iOS 5.0 or later and costs $0.99 from the iTunes app store.
