It’s tactical planning followed by bloody battles in Crystal War Blood Field for the iPhone. Crystal War Blood Field features the uprising against the tyrants of the Xanten Empire and will appeal to both role playing fans as well as real time strategy and action gamers.

Choose to play as either human or goblin. For this review we’re playing as goblins, and as goblins, we’ve been enslaved by the evil Xanten Empire, and we’ve had enough! We select the members of our army, each with various traits and weapons, and we then select our unit members to do battle with evil foes. We need to be strategic in our deployment of our unit members, then watch them do battle. The action is intense, and the intelligence behind the contests is fair and balanced. The graphics, albeit a little small on the iPhone, are superb and well drawn, and we love the epic sounding background music in Crystal War Blood Field.

There are a few buggy items with Crystal War Blood Field, for instance the warning or action messages you receive throughout the game display some incorrect grammar, and at times simply don’t make sense, but this is only a minor distraction, as you can get the jist of the message such as not being able to deploy anymore units.

Developer GNC Interactive, INC has done well to mesh strategy and action into one exciting app.
